Memorial Day Festivities

Holy Geez. Its been 4 months since I last blogged. Sorry about that.
We had our annual Grandma Kemp Memorial Day Party on Monday. It was fun to finally have a kid of my own at the party. Noah had a blast. He has so much fun playing with each one of his cousins (and aunts, uncles and grandparents). Grandpa Barnes' yard is his favorite place to be. The food was superb as well as the company. The kids LOVED the cupcakes. Noah somehow found one. We let him have a little preview of what's to come tomorrow (its his birthday!). He LOVED it! We missed having daddy (Wes) there. He has been working out of town A LOT lately. We are glad he's back in town. We have a big party to prepare for so I will blog more later (I promise!) Here is a picture overload of the festivities.

8 Months

* This kid is about to crawl. He is trying so hard. He can army crawl but in slow motion.
* He starting to try to pull himself up into the standing position.
* He can say dad and da da. He says it every time Wes comes into the room. Its precious.
* He LOVES Rachel (from Signing Times). He loves when she sings.
* He is a flirt. He is always smiling at the ladies.
* He gives the best open month kisses. Love it.
* He is the most content baby I have ever met. He will sit and play on the floor by himself for as long as I let him.
* He loves to hang out with the adults. He will quietly sit at the table while we play cards or play on our laps and watch the superbowl. He loves to be where the action is.
* He is super curious. I need to baby proof our house soon. Like tomorrow.
* He loves sweet potatoes and bananas.
* He has almost grown out of his car seat. He is one big boy. We came home from Hawaii and none of his clothes fit.
* He constantly smiles. Even if he is tired or sick we can easily get a smile from him.
* He LOVES his daddy. I know he loves me but he really loves his dad. He gets so excited when he hears the door open or hears Wes' voice. He loves to play with Wes' hair and pull on his ears and nose.
* He finally sleeps in his own room. No more sleeping with mommy and daddy in their bed. I am very happy about this and I am also very sad. He also sleeps for 12 hours at night which is nice.
* He is the biggest sweetheart.
* He has the most kissable cheeks. They keep getting bigger and bigger.
* He is still nursing like a champ. Yay. 8 months of nursing. After the first week I thought there was no way I would make it this long. Now I never want to stop.
* He is such a joy to be around. We are so lucky that he is ours. We have had a tough year and he has been our rainbow. His name means comfort and he definitely brings much comfort to our lives.

Lil Stinker

I know I am a little late on posting Halloween pictures but I had to post a couple of my little stinker. He was the cutest skunk! We had a wonderful Halloween (read about it on Tiff's blog.) Wes has been sick for the last couple of weeks and missed out on all the festivities. We sure hope he feels better soon. Luckily he has not given me or Noah any of his sickness! We are as healthy as can be!!

Fall Recap

First of all...I LOVE fall. I love the colors of the changing leaves, the crisp air and wearing long sleeved shirts. Fall is my favorite time of year. This fall has been so nice. There has been some cool days but overall the weather has been so nice. We have been quite busy the last month. Noah is over 4 months old and we love having him in our lives. I took him to the doctor a week and a half ago and he weighed 16 lbs 12 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long. The doctor kept going on about how tall he is. He knew Wes' dad and said he definitely has his grandpa's genes. He said that he will be at least 6'2" when he is older. He is in the 95-100 percentile for his height and 65-70 for his weight. His head is in the 90th percentile. The Barnes girls have big headed babies. Big heads= Big Brains!! Noah is such a good baby. I know I have said that in all my past blogs but it is so true. He is so easy. We have been so blessed. His personality comes out more and more everyday. He is so happy! Here is a cute video showing his little personality.

Warning! A plethora of pictures ahead!
Noah is definitely our blue eyed boy. Where on earth did he get these beautiful blue eyes? We both have green eyes. He must have been from Grandpa Barnes.
This is a picture of him with Grandpa Stam. His grandpa sure loves him. (He LOVES his grandpa too)

Noah always has his hands in his mouth. Its hard to get a picture without him sucking on his fingers. I don't know if he is teething or what. He is so drooly too.

About a month ago we went to the scrapbook expo down in Sandy. It is a family tradition. All the girls on my side spend all day Friday and Saturday at the expo. (We sure missed Angie again!) We rent a hotel room and spend the night down there. Noah and Aubree loved there grandma. She was so good to them. Noah was good but all the noise and lights was a little much for him. I decided he will stay home with daddy next time. I will just have to store up enough milk for those couple days. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to doing it all again in the spring. This time we will need to make sure our hotel room has two queen beds not that I didn't completely enjoy sharing a bed with both my sisters :-) !

Noah loves splashing around in the bath. He is so funny to watch. He LOVES bath time! I have the cutest video that I will have to upload next time I blog. He was taking a bath with daddy last night and started making bubbles. I told Wes he better be careful because Noah had only pooped once yesterday. A couple minutes later I heard Wes calling for me to come get the baby. Yep... he pooped in the tub. I was very surprised at Wes' reaction. He didn't dry heave or even get upset. If you know Wes you know that before the baby was born he swore he was not going to change any poopy bums. He is easily grossed out by these kind of things. I asked him if he was going to stop taking baths with Noah and he said no. I am glad this event did not scar him for life. (Oh and by the way he has no problem changing Noahs poopy diapers!)

Here is a picture of a luau we went to a couple weeks ago.

Wes took this picture of Noah one morning while I was sleeping in. You can't tell by the picture but Wes got him dressed and the shirt is a little big as it's for next summer. I loved finding this picture when I was looking through the camera. He loves hanging out with his dad and sitting in his bumbo.

Kylee came and spent the weekend again with us. We had so much fun. Me and Kylee went and saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3-D. It had been so long since I had gone to a movie. It was a cute show. We love having Ky over!

Me, Tiff and the kids packed up her Yukon and headed down to Tooele to spend the night at Shelly's so she could get away for her anniversary. I could not believe all the crap we had to take for 3 kids! We had a lot of fun hanging out with the Taylor kids. The taco soup Shelly made was worth the drive!!

Every Monday and Tuesday night we go and watch Jace and Brooklyn while Tiff and Trev work. Last time we were there Jace would not leave Wes' side. Jace made Wes read him and Noah bedtime stories. So sweet.

Oh how I love fall. Have I mentioned that? We went on a hayride and picked pumpkins last weekend with Tiff and Trev. It was so much fun. In fact, we are going to go again tomorrow. I also haven't mentioned how much I love Tiffany's new camera. I have to get me one! Wes said if I sold my slr then I could get a new one. I think I will put it on ebay today. I love photography and I am getting better at taking pictures every day. Tiff will post some cute pictures I have taken recently, right TIff??? I am going to take some pictures of Ky tomorrow for her baptism announcement.
